The Vine Horses

SFG's own Silver Belle, exported by the Vines in 2003. Like a great many of the Vine family lines, Belle's traces back to The Old Coal Horse, one of the two founding sires of the Vanner breed.

The horses shown above are only a small fraction of the total from the Vines family lines that are currently in the U.S.  Exporting through Black Forest Shires, the Vines have contributed a tremendous number of horses to all three Gypsy registries.

Victor, also known as Tango, Silver Belle's full brother. Owned by Michael Vine, this gorgeous stallion was, sadly, killed in an accident in 2005. Before his death, he was rapidly proving himself an extremely successful sire.

Lloyd, now the family's main stallion.  Michael terms Lloyd's color to be blue blagdon, a new, unique coloration. Although many prefer the traditional black and white of Gypsy horses, other colors and patterns of coloration, especially rare ones, are rapidly gaining in popularity. With his unique coloring and outstanding conformation, Lloyd will be much in demand as a sire.
