Lisa Baker, a native of Massachusetts, moved to the Bristol, Virginia, area in 1987. She earned her BS degree in Equine Studies from Virginia Intermont College. Lisa is certified by the American Riding Instructors Association (ARIA) in Level 3 Hunt Seat and Level 2 Dressage. Level 3, ARIA’s highest level, certifies the instructor to teach advanced students and under; Level 2, the next highest, certifies the instructor to teach intermediate level and under. Lisa owns and operates Journey’s End Farm & Riding Center LLC in Bristol, Tennessee. Lisa teaches and competes in various disciplines at many levels: hunter/jumper, dressage, eventing, and pleasure. As a trainer, she works with a variety of ages and breeds and is currently handling the training of Silver Feather Gypsies' horses.

Lisa's personal choice in breed is the majestic Friesian, and her latest foal, Willoe, just attained First Premie standing. On her home farm, Majestic Acres, she and husband Greg raise and train the beautiful offspring of their Friesian mares, some of whom may be for sale in the near future. Since Friesians, Gypsy Horses, and Drum Horses are all baroque, or light draft horse, breeds, Lisa's experience in training Friesians stands her in good stead in her work with SFG's horses.

Lisa can be contacted by email at majesticacres@charter.net or by phone at 423.878.7991.
